How do you feel about the difference in the way that NASCAR recognizes military versus the NFL's?

This is why I am more of a NASCAR fan then an NFL fan. They are always doing something for the Military.

Nascar is a sport of the people still; where else can you walk into the pits, have a chance to meet a driver? There are all sorts of things going on at the track for the fans, when I was stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB many of us airmen would volunteer to work at the tracks so our organizations could earn funds, one year Ken Schrader came to the base to meet all of us and take pictures and sign items for us. What a class act. You don't see any of that at football games.

There are no and should be no expectations for an individual or organization to recognize military service. I certainly did not serve for the external recognition...but do appreciate that no matter how small the act is, the thought is there.

Well I believe the culture and mentality of NASCAR fans vs the majority of NFL fans are very different. Obviously, most people enjoy football; but the cultures are very mixed; but the NASCAR culture is 'Murica culture, much like me! ☺
