Can anyone steer me in the right direction on how to find out if a person actually went through U.S. Army Ranger training or if they have stolen valor?

Call the school and ask. Get the person’s name, year of graduation- better if you have class number. (Looks like 11-91, that means the 11th class of 1991, not November 1991.). 11-91 actually started in July. July 26 exactly.
I busted a Colonel who had been wearing an unearned Tab. All they did was asked him to resign. He had faked a graduation certificate. it was some really awesome investigative work.
The really good part:
I asked him, so how was Ranger school?
He said, Major there were two times in my life that I cried. When my mother died and when I started Ranger school.
I almost started to crack up laughing out loud. He didn’t know I knew. Classic!!

That's awesome. I caught another LT that did the same thing. This was in the guard so there were really not many people there with tabs. I was one of them. So after listening to his stories then I realized he didn't really go.

This happen in the Guard. Do you remember the commander of the Warrior Center? Guard LTC wearing all kinda stuff he didn’t earn.

The funny/sad thing about my Ranger school grad certificate is that it really does look like it came out of a Xerox machine. Regular printer paper with a couple of smeared letters. I realize the tab is the end game here, but it would’ve been nice to get something a bit higher quality to frame later on in life.

The official way is to contact the Senior Tac at Ranger School. They have access to the Green Cards. What makes you think they didn't go? I have caught one person that I served with and reported it. There usually are a few dead give aways.

SGT James Clark - It would be hard to complete your initial training, Ranger, and SF all in your first term. I am going to say that it is pretty much impossible. The issue you would run into is retention. They wouldn't send a guy to a school unless he would be able to apply those skills in a unit after would. If you want to go to Ranger School you better have a least a year left in on your contract after you graduate. That would mean he would have had to have gone to ranger school in his third year in the Army. This is realistic though. Now the issue he really runs into is SF. Unless he joined the Army to go straight into SF he wouldn't have the time. The shortest Training there is about year. But when you add the time for SFAS and the time it takes to start the Qual Course you would be easily over a year. With retainability he would have had to get selected in his second year in the Army. But even before that he would have had to have gone to Ranger. I have questioned a few people and got it wrong before but I am highly suspect of this guy. You should ask him where he did his mountaineering training at. They do it away from the Ranger Camp. If he could name the mountain easily then I might think he really did go. Or you should just ask for his class number.

CPT (Join to see) - Sir Unfortunately, the details of the school can be found online these days. So if I sat and watched enough YouTube Videos I could easily come up with enough information on how Ranger School works for someone to believe me that has no idea on how the process works,

PFC (Join to see) - I am know that some details are online. But there are instances to where you would never know unless you been there. Like the running track in mountains and the difference between uppers and lowers are something you have to experience to know. If the other person had no clue about ranger then they really wouldn't be able to realize if they went or not.

What is the website for such an inquiry? A friend lost his graduation certificate and is trying to get a replacement. Who do we contact?

Contact Ranger School. They keep a record of every single Ranger student and whether or not they've graduated.

I have been trying to find an e-mail or website to contact the Ranger School. Does anyone have that so I can send a message?
