How do you find out what unit number correspond with a unit? Currently in ait and I’m curious about what unit I’m projected to join.

SFC (Join to see)
SPC (Join to see) there are many parts of your SRB.
The UIC almost always tells you the reception battalion. The numbers after usually tell you the Brigade and division. It's easier when you know the names of the Brigades and divisions at your new location

SPC (Join to see) - ok, riddle me this, what is printed on your SRB so we can help you. There are multiple places to look up a Unit Identification Code (UIC) with a CAC card. One of which is USAFMSA FMS Web. Someone in the S1 world could also look it up. You can google a UIC, however, if it is reception, you'd need to know the short hand SFC (Join to see) describes. You can go to the Hood website and look at tenant units.

Hey gents, I Direct messaged this young troop as to not put his UIC on blast and looked into FMS web for him, and got him an answer he was looking for. Thank you all for staying on it.

When I found out what unit I was going to be with, I just googled it. The uic.

Unit number? Do you mean Unit Identification Code (UIC)? If so, you can look it up in FMSWeb if you have a CAC. However, it can be complicated to use if you have never done so. Sorry, can't really give you a guide to that here.

If you have orders already or your SRB has a projected UIC, that number may be used to find what unit your going to. I’m not sure if this is what you are asking. But I hope it helps.

I have the unit number from my srb but I’m not tracking how to covert the unit number to a actual unit sergeant

It will depend on your actual MOS. Even than you still may not know. There were some when I went through that a few company’s with the same MOS. If you know where you are going for AIT you can google that base and they usually have a list of the units there.

I have the uic for where I’m projected to go after ait but I don’t know how to find out what unit correlates to the uci
