How does BAH work when taking a hardship tour when you have a dependent back in the states?

I am considering taking an assignment in Saudi Arabia or Turkey. I am divorced but have a custody agreement for my son and thus recieve BAH w/Dependents. How does it work when you live in government quarters here but provide support back in the states? I have been told my bah would reflect where he is living.
