How does one retrieve an apple id and apple password from an iPhone?

I plan to install a phone jack with a landline once I buy a house at some point in the future. I am tired of the iPhone. Chasing the next best gadget is getting silly.

go to the Apple store and get the Geeks to do it with their Cables and software... Should be free...
