I have been at Fort Hood since I got out of AIT (November 2013). My first duty station and I chose to stay when I re-enlisted. Anywhere is what you make of it. Feel free to read this link from my Facebook if your interested. Stuff like this can happen anywhere, at anytime. Just be ready to help save someone whenever you can bc the Army will be a large amount of tedious and repetitive tasks that will have you questioning if you are even doing mission essential work that matters.. I promise you that the bigger picture will appear with time and rank as you progress. Just do the right thing, at the right time, in the right uniform, and with maybe the most important part of the equation generally not mentioned... with the right attitude! If you remember all that, you will do great things no matter your path!
