IF that really is an active duty soldier (which I doubt) he is probably wrong. If so ordered he most likely will at least be in a position to 'die for this'. And if it comes down to it my guess is he will choose to 'kill for this' rather than 'die for this'.
And, if that really is a soldier, strip those patches from his arm and send him back to Mommy.
One question though... how was this posted 7 years ago? Is the man a soothsayer?

The guy is some pretentious P.O.S. with a 101st Airborne Division Patch on a surplus uniform with a stupid pussy sign in front of her face. No self respecting Airborne soldier would soil his honor with a photo like this one.

I question whether anyone who posts such crap is actually a service member.

He will be the next Secretary of State like John Kerry the freeloader who married Theresa Heinz the Widow of a Conservative Politician ... go figure...

He has an airborne patch on. He needs a trip to the CO’s desk for an article 15.

If the US Government sends our military to the Ukraine then we go. Our duty is not to ask why.

Side note: I noticed he is wearing the older ACU/UCP. When I retired in 2015 that uniform was on the way out. So I doubt he is a current Soldier. Being said it's probably a good thing he's out with an attitude like that.

I really need to pay more attention to the dates on these photos, this is 7 years old aka right about the time I retired.

I’m actually a little confused, not only by the post, but by the fact that at least part of it is from 2016 (It clearly shows 6 years since posting on the top left of the photo). We’re the Ukraine and Russia fighting six years ago & if not why post the photo? If they weren’t fighting or even hostile to each other at that time Than what was the original message that the OP is asking our opinion on and why was it changed to the photo above?
Regardless of all that this is my two cents on the sign:
Unless we are invited we should absolutely stay out of the Ukraine, but if they ask for our help then we should do our best to offer it.
I and many others were in a “cold war” with Russia for about 30 years total (I was in for the last six years of it) so that ship (no war with Russia) has sailed long ago.
The next two parts aren’t true because if Ukraine asks for our help as an Ally then it is definitely our fight AND our business.
If you don’t want to follow lawful orders AND aren’t willing to die for the greater good of both countries than you don’t need to be in a rapid deployment or any deployable unit in the Military and should ets out or get assigned to a training command so you don’t have to worry about being sent overseas.
My final statement on the post is this: Whoever the person is who posted this pic is a Double Coward: once for hiding his face while posting it and the second time for showing that (according to his uniform) he is a Combat Veteran with the 101st like I am (Iraq 2003-2004) who apparently doesn’t want to fight anymore.
I had two friends from the Ukraine who were my soldiers after they immigrated here, one of who just passed when Russia attacked the Ukraine (Thank God she didn’t have to see crap like this while she has family members still in her home country). I also have a friend from here who married a Ukrainian woman & who was living there & had to evacuate back to the US and finally There is a band I support who is originally from Russia, but who immigrated to Turkey not long ago because they couldn’t stand what their former government was doing to it’s own people since many Russians have family members in the Ukraine from what I was told. If I didn’t have medical issues that keep me from going back in and I was needed I would be there as fast as I could & would hope and pray I didn’t have someone like this anywhere around me when I did.

All i can say its not a political statement its a soldiers opinion ,you lost your bearing as a soldier and a leader ,the solder can way his opion or even verbally express it , ive seen many off soldier pick up a rifle and fight when the lead comes our way a few even had the same opion in iraq and afghanistan ,the quickly learned the enemy combatants whoever they are will kill you the enemy does not care of your views or reasons ,so in the end they shot back ,proud day for a leader to see it their soldier change his views so quickly in the heat of battle.
