Soldiers are not supposed to be political, especially in uniform. If the Army asks you to go fight a war/conflict despite who it may involve, then that is what you do. As an E4 I believe you do not have the pay grade to have all the knowledge to make those kinds of decisions. This is a volunteer military; you should have not volunteered if you didn't believe in the mission. Shameful holding that sign! You shamed the 101st wearing that patch and yet hiding your face. Since you have no honor or pride, my suggestion is to get out. Disgusting!

Of course he’s hiding his face. Clearly doesn’t understand the oath he swore.

Less political talk in the military and woke policies would make the military a better place . To all of you senior and flag officers do you hear that . Let's get to our lean fighting machines what we were intended for .

“Political leaders” have that nasty immature thoughts, that “War Crasher like USA” offer for present and future generations. ENOUGH ALREADY! We are barely being supported by political leaders that all they have in mind is their own families, not our National Heroes. One said in person that he does NOT like to see Wounded service members. Treating military personnel as trash, HEY wake up! We are also TAX PAYERS, dismembered or not. There’s two political W-2-B’s that NEVER wore with Honor and Dignity the Armed Forces Uniforms and the other that after serving don’t have a clue in where should the money be donated. What a shame!

I thought the ACU was phased out for the OCP? Leads me to believe this might not be legit. If he is in, I disagree with this presentation in uniform. I do agree with his message though. We have no business being in Ukraine and giving them absurd amounts of money. They are not a NATO country! All of that money being sent there should stay in the US. Our government has a massive spending problem. We shouldn't be giving away money we don't have to give. Ukraine should borrow the money themselves instead of getting freebees from the rest of the Western World.

His last two statements are the most worrying. He signed up, and is in the 101st Airborne according to his patches, and is subject to where the Govt decides to send him. As to the appropriatness of his posting a "political" message while in uniform.....there are regulations, but they're murkiy as to 'how' to implement them.

Can this be confirmed as a real post? There have been a number of deep fake posts showing up on the internet lately, including one of Sen Rand Paul that was totally out of character.
The background suggests an attempt at disinformation. It is not something beneath the ability and inventiveness of the Soviet-come-Russian propaganda machine. At the very least this is an outdated picture, since I believe this digital uniform has been out of use for a number of years (not sure because I am a bit long in the tooth and last wore BDUs 30+ years ago).
If it is real and is current, then the argument of no political statements while in uniform stands for this soldier, just as for all of us, and this soldier needs to be up front and become a conscientious objector, or ask to be released from active duty, including all that entails as far as lost Veterans benefits and returning enlistment bonuses.
If someone believes in a cause, they should be willing to stand up for and defend their beliefs and should be willing to accept the future outcomes as a result. All of us promise to do so when we raise our right hand.
