How does your Commander's performance on their PT test influence your opinion of them?

Do you think more or less of a commander if they get the maximum score possible on their APFT (or whatever test your respective service takes)? During my enlisted days I don't think I ever had a commander who was a PT stud. If I had a commander who couldn't pass a PT test I might honestly think less of them, but I don't know if they really need to blow it out of the water. Thoughts?

Literally 0.
I have never heard of anyone saying "That Commander knows his shit but doesn't score well on PT so I don't like him." I have heard it the other way though "That Commander is a monster at PT but doesn't know his head from his ass about the squadron."

I have seen people who can Max the PT test crying and under their bed when the morter rounds and tracers are all around.

I did my best and don't care how anyone else did, officer or enlisted. Command is Leadership, but keeping US all at Our Best and Ready was all that mattered.

I respect a commander that would do his pt test with his company and actually do good on it because he's is their commander so set the bar. I always hated it when a commander would do the bare minimum but look at a soldier that got a 230 and say"you couldn't get to 280?" while I appreciate the mental reinforcement, it was always a bother.

Tbh I have never seen an out of shape officer. I've even seen a colonel hop on a bar and rip out 23 pull ups. But I would not mind if I had a 3rd class pft commander. But the top tier marines would feel less motivated and disgruntled if a CO were to get a third class pft.

As long as they can legitimately pass it doesn't matter to me, though like anyone else, if they max it I will be impressed.

I don’t think a stupid pt test is even practical. So I think a pt test doesn’t define you as a soldier/marine/sailor/airman etc. You could be the slowest runner in a platoon and still jump in front of a bullet for your buddies.

Leadership should strive to set the standard in which the hold their soldiers to

I never cared much about what officers did. There’s really no place for them though. The military would be better off putting educated enlisted folks in officer positions.
