I read an article today, suggesting we give military aid to the Ukraine. How far do you think we could go with that before it became a show down between us the Putin/Russia?

I think we could go quite a ways, 1SG(P) (Join to see). We would just have to be careful about Putin's response. He doesn't seem to be concerned with the opinion of the rest of the world. As long as he keeps the Russian people satisfied, he's satisfied, and that could mean trouble -- like war, if Putin were to use our supplying military aid to the Ukraine to start even more trouble.

On the other hand, the House Resolution referenced in the article was introduced by a Democrat, so there's support in the Congress. Support among the American populace might be problematic, because we are a war-weary nation, which takes us back to Putin and his devil-may-care attitude when it comes to war.

Still, I think we could and should be providing more military aid to the Ukraine.

I don't feel that we should be messing around in Russia's area.
How would we feel if they came to Canada and parked on our border.

But soldiers don't get to make that call.
