If you are enlisting on the active duty side, you won’t have to worry about finding a deployment, it will come to you because more than likely you’ll be assigned to a location that’s on a regular rotation for deployments...Good Luck to you

PVT (Join to see) - to build on SFC (Join to see) response, the Army deploys units to meet Combatant Commander's requests for capabilities. Your unit will be identified and ordered to deploy. The Army doesn't deploy individuals per se. There is an augmentation system for critical unit shortages and fills to support Joint manning document requirements. These taskings come through operations channels and are assigned to a unit to fill by volunteers or voluntolds. These are the exception and not the rule. As SFC Hobbs said, there will be plenty to go around.

If your unit deploys, certainly.
Or, are you are asking if a PVT, fresh out of training, would be able to volunteer for a deployment?
I would suggest focusing on excelling at training, and do a bit of research about the MOS, at this link:

Really will come down to the unit. Each SF Group has a Chemical Recon company, there are some weird assignments for 74 in places like Wake Island. 74 is an interesting field as there is lots of "home work" (hehe get it) to do...though that's mainly a Guard function. Typically most 74 I've seen start at a BCT in the CBRN unit or as the company/troop CBRN shop. Check out the Army Career Tracker as you can peruse all assignments and locations. May not be a "deployment" but there are some weird places to go. Be on top of it or else you'll just be assigned wherever your Branch Manager decides to put you.
