Speaking from a "fresh off the recruiting trail" stand point...probably pretty tough. Your MOS Vs. the Accessions Business Rules. If it's not on the list...you can't come back active, only the reserves which probably totally defeats what your trying to do since the 2 are pretty much one in the same (AR & NG) = Part-Time. One things for certain though...gotta go through a recruiter. Good luck to you.

Excellent answer SFC (Join to see). I had soldiers in the Guard in '07 that not only would they take them, but they could pick their duty station. I am sure those days are gone now.

Again, great job guiding soldiers looking for advice.

Spot on...if you happen to be air borne qualified you may have a few more options. Best bet is to simply go visit a local recruiter the business rules change from time to time.

Ever thought of joining an ABN guard or reserve unit? That'd certainly assist you in getting an ABN school slot.

11b with airborne meets the current business rules. The hardest part for you is getting the conditional release from the NG. Talk to your recruiter in your area, if he doesn't help call me and I'll put you in active boots!!
