How is Fort Wainwright for a single soldier? What is it like for a commo guy in a field artillery unit?

I loved Wainwright. I want to go back. The area is great and very military friendly. Go eat at The Cookie Jar.

PVT Lemoine, I was at Fort Wainwright, but a looooong time ago. However, at that time there was plenty of stuff for a single soldier to do. If you like the outdoors, you'll enjoy. I am sure that over the last 30 years, this has only improved.

As for your question about a commo guy in an FA unit, I served with the 2/82 FA out of Friedberg Germany and enjoyed it, although not as much as my time in an Infantry unit. It is what you make of it, but I am sure that you will be fine.
