I am looking at an opportunity to reclass to a 25Q to fill an E-5 slot. How is life as a MOS-T and what all will I be doing other than going to class? Would I PT with the trainees or on my own?

Nobody reclasses here my man. I don't want to discourage your dreams but unless you have a pure desire to do what we do, which I don't understand, this job truly sucks. If you want to do something with computers, go 25B or Sierra. That is actually profitable outside the army.

Our last 25Q ETS'd a few months back and we needed someone to operate the equipment that he was in charge of. That ended up being me. I am currently a 25U and if I reclass I would pin Sgt and just continue doing what I already do as it is.

25Q and 25B are very marketable MOSs in the civilian world, but don’t let that deter you from going 25Q. I got out as a 25Q and am doing very good for myself working in the SATCOM industry. It’s not just what you know, but how you apply yourself.

25Q what do you do? | RallyPoint
I absorbed 99% of what I learned at AIT. I’m curious though what do we actually do. I’ve heard good things aaaand not so good things.. I’ll be with 2/508 HHC 82nd, any insight would be huge! Thanks !
