I posted a PragerU video on Why Are So Many Americans in Prison? and one member commented, I voted down their response and replyed, this member commented back and then the post was frozen, I guess that's the way to get the last word on the subject. If this site can not allow grown educated adults with years of actual experience to post and then talk back and forth with each other in a civil manner and educate others with posts and comments, then why post at all. to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. so in this post, I ask. Why Are So Many Americans in Prison? The U.S. does have a very large prison population—not because too many innocent people are incarcerated, but because too many people commit serious—usually violent—crimes. With rare exceptions, that’s why most people are imprisoned in America. Period. Full stop.

I have commented on posts where I found myself being brutally attacked without any justification. The person stated things about me stemming entirely from his imagination. It was so bad, I stopped entering information on my profile page. I didn't report it or anything like that, but my guess is others have undergone similar insults and fired back anyway they could. So, most likely the administrators act fast if they suspect a problem arising; sometimes a little premature.

I could understand If it was a resounding revolting post and comment, but it wasnt at all the reply was posted and then the block occured, not even a notice as to why my post was blocked just as a courtesy to the original poster.

The overall post isn't frozen. The other member appears to have blocked you, which keeps you from responding directly to them. However, other members can still respond to the post (and you can comment on their responses). The block feature was added a couple of years ago.

Ok well I guess he gets the last word in that post which is sad since I would have gladly explained why based on practical and actual experence from my area of the field I respectfully disagreeded with his opinion and gladly welcomed his take on the issue as I'm sure others might have. oh well its to bad it went like that.
