I graduate college with a bachelor's degree next December. I am wholeheartedly focused on commissioning into the Airforce, my goal is to become a pilot. I do not have a specific type of aircraft I want to shoot for. Is there any advice or guidance on how the process is? Thank you and any help is appreciated!

SSgt (Join to see) You will need to take the AFOQT. There are certain sections that are what they look at regarding if you qualify for a flight option. You can get study guides from any library. You will go through the prelim flight school where they will teach you how to fly a basic aircraft (if you don't already know how). If you do, you get to hang out until your class "catches up" to you. Then there is basic flight school. Then you will get to figure out which type of airframe you will go in to.
This is not my firsthand experience, but one of my best friends was going through UPT and provided me w/ all the steps as he was going through.

SSgt (Join to see) - That is the route I think I am taking. Spoke to the Air Reserves recruiter and got the ball rolling.

Just remember the Air Force is not the Marines and are very lax. Use your Marine skills to excel..especially in military bearing... I used to get Airman of the month as I would wear an inspection grade uniform and boots to first formation and then change. The rest of the Squadron had no clue.

That is what I hear from a whole lot of people that transferred branches. I guess it could be a good thing to stand out, but loose that competition aspect of things.
