How is the time counted between my AIT graduation date and reporting date for my first duty station?

If you’re only taking 10 days of leave upon graduation, then you will report no later than midnight of the last day of your leave even if it’s sooner than the 18 April report date. Don’t go to much on what your order say. How many days of leave are you taking? Your leave form will say the day you need to actually report. The day on you orders is the last possible day you should report to the unit coming from AIT.

Nope, all your leave is paid. I am not even sure the Army has such a thing as unpaid leave. What you have is basically 23 days of leave from which to leave Ft Sam and arrive at your new duty station. Likely your orders say how much is PCS and how much is your actually burning of personal leave.

You have that amount but do not have to take that full amount.
