How likely would it be if I checked some boxes on Assignment Satisfaction Key that I would come down on orders soon?

Was playing around on the ASK site, and stumbled upon what looked like a volunteer for a duty station selection area.
How likely would it be if I checked some boxes and made a list I could come down on orders soon?

Honestly, throughout my career. i was always checking these boxes, and nothing ever happened until i actually called my branch. Maybe other career fields use these more than mine did. I see your an infantrymen, so maybe they use this more than the Transportation branch. But if i ever felt antsy and needed an assignment i would just call branch. That way i had a say in MY career, instead of them just dictating things for me. I might not have always gotten my first choice, but at least i had options and would take the lesser of the normal evils they proposed to me both for my career and in the best interests of my family.

That’s pretty much what I’m trying to do right now. Definitely not trying to be stuck at hood for the rest on my career and have a say in what happens

And to add on to what i said before. By calling them there were a few times where they would mention things to me that i had never thought about or entertained, so you have way more options by calling than clicking some boxes in ASK.

SSG (Join to see) - Then call your Branch now!!!! You might not always like what they have to say, but its better than not calling at all.

Its a very slim chance because your Branch manager will decide that for you. Granted you can call your branch manager and work with them on getting the duty station you want. But in reality, branch managers will not pay attention to your ASK.
