How long after a board does it take to hear if you get into the AGR program? Do they send your packet back if you didn't get in?

Hopefully he made a copy of the packet. Notification can vary, normally less than a month.

Thank you for your response. I believe that he did make a copy. It's been a little over a month, but he hasn't heard anything yet..

It works differently than how you imagine. After the board, he'll be notified what tier (5) he falls under. From their HRC, will go through their candidates to fill vacancies. He will remain on the list for one year. After that, he'll have to reapply.
Each candidate’s aggregate score from the panel is converted to a Tier score that is utilized by AGR Accessions to identify Best Qualified, Qualified, and Least Qualified candidates.
• Tier 1 – Best Qualified – Most likely to receive a position offer
• Tier 2 – Qualified – Most candidates fall into this category. Many from this category receive offers.
• Tier 3 – Least Qualified – Requires exception to policy to receive an offer
• Tier 4 – Not Recommended – Will not receive a position offer
• Tier 5 – Not Qualified
It took me two tries. I was on the list for about 9 months and I got the call a few months after my return from Iraq. I totally forgot about it and thought i'd have to reapply.

Sire I thought they only held the board once a year to get into the AGR program or did that change?

SFC(P) (Join to see) - If you are referring to my comment about two tries, I was just talking about total applications made in about a 2 year span. However, based on HRC they are doing it 3 times this year for Os. I can not speak on behalf of E-side.
I just saw that they are posting board panel comments, which is useful for candidates.

What the Chief said. Also, you will get notification even if not selected.

Thank you for your response as well. He hasn't gotten any type of notification yet, so I guess its just a waiting game now.
