A year for a 368 to be signed? Damn. Someone was sure sitting on that one. A MEPS to MEPS transfer shouldn't take long (and neither should a 368 for that matter). But, there is always extenuating circumstances. Has your Recruiter tried making arrangements for this?

Yes SFC he said send up expedite to get it sooner. My question is if I have everything from wen I first joined paperwork wise on hand would it help? So I won’t have to wait on a meps to meps.

In 2015 I went from meps in Miami to Tampa. Took 7 days.

Outside of convenience, is there another reason to go to another MEPS? If the recruiter and everything is set for one in another state, I would just go to that one and not worry about getting it transferred.

Yes my first meps I enlisted was in Memphis TN. I now live in NC that’s the reason for the meps to meps. My question is if I have everything like my contract, medical etc pretty everything I gotten from the day I enlisted. Would that be usable so I won’t have to do a meps to meps?

SPC Landry Young - If you are going back to Active Duty for the Reserve or Army National Guard, they will send you back through MEPS.

You misunderstood sir. I am in the national guard but I have a signed DD 368 so I’m switching over to active. I don’t have access to the meps that I first enlisted into because I don’t live in that state anymore. I have to do a meps to meps transfer. I was asking if I already have everything basically all the paperwork from wen I first enlisted could that be useful so I won’t have to wait for that transfer?

SPC Landry Young If you are working with a recruiter, he should have your packet ready. If not, you need to find a recruiter. I would not take anything to MEPS the recruiter did tell me to bring. My recollection of MEPS is the will go over everything again.
