I failed my hearing test at MEPS largely due to prior service in artillery and as a fore protection augmentee on a flight line. I failed in one ear by 5 points each time. My recruiter, the doctor at MEPS and the liaison believe it will be approved. The liaison gave me a timeline of 1-2 weeks but I am curious if that is a standard given timeline or if that is a realistic timeline.

Thanks!

It can take anywhere from three weeks to three months for a military waiver to be approved. The length of time depends on many things, such as medical and moral waivers.

You're prior service right- what happened to "Hurry Up and Wait?" They do it when they are ready. Take deep breaths.
