I Had a MEPS to MEPS transfer and it’s complete, now I’m being told I have a Medical Hold and I will get an answer after a doctor reviews my file. How long will it take for me to get a MEPS appointment I’ve already wait 2 weeks coming up on 3. I started my process back in March how much longer?

According to the new MEPS pre-screen process, a pre-screen with 5 or less pages will be completed within 5 days. You should calculate an additional day for every 6 pages. Prescribes should not take longer than 30 days.

Now, this is what MEPS says. My experience is that just because they say this is the timeline doesn’t always mean they will adhere to it. MEPS has doctors and staff and if some are on leave or out of the net it will cause delays. It also depends on the size of the MEPS. Smaller MEPS tend to take longer. Hope this helps. Good luck.

So I had sent 36 pages cause that's what I was give from two different hospitals, how long will it take? It's already been 3 weeks and I'm so ready to get this moving.

It depends on the MEPS and their workload. Shouldn’t be much longer.

Until they are satisfied, they are putting their name/career on the line. Welcome to "Hurry Up And Wait" a common syndrome.

My recruiter told me last Thursday the Meps doctor needs my C-Section documentation for my kids and I request them it be about 2 weeks to receive the documents. What is the Meps doctor looking for what can disqualify me from going into military?
