If it takes longer than 5-10 minutes you know you scored so low that the personnel there are sharing it around and laughing at you. LOL

Typically, you can expect to receive your ASVAB scores from MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) within a few hours on the same day you take the test. However, the official score report may take a bit longer to process and be sent to your recruiter, usually within a few days. If you have any concerns or need your scores urgently, it’s best to check directly with your recruiter for the most accurate information.
See how to read your ASVAB score here:

When I went through in 2002, I took the test, walked to the next room, and received my score there... so like 10 minutes max.

It can take anywhere from 10 minutes to sometimes 5 hours. It just depends, but that shouldn't ring an alarm. It took hours for me to get my score. I ended up leaving MEPS and having to wait for the recruiter who projected me to tell me way later in the day. My score was amazing so it's nothing to worry about if it takes longer than usual. This was my experience in April 2019.
