It depends on when the waiver was submitted. It also depends on what date the command surgeon’s team is on. Ask your recruiter to look at your packet and tell you the exact date the waiver was transmitted to USAREC. If you send me a message tomorrow I will check to see what date the surgeon is on. This will give you a window of when to expect it to be completed. I don’t want to speculate on if the waiver will be approved. It’s tough to say, don’t get your hopes up too high for skin conditions since many worsen with stress.

Your recruiter is likely waiting on a medical read. The timeline depends on the meps. The Station Commander should be able to give you a status. Give me a call on Monday and I’ll look into it for you. [login to see] .

Needed a medical waiver for HS. The dermatologist stated it wouldn't interfere with service but the meps dr sent it up for review. How long of a wait should I expect? I came from meps yesterday.

If it’s been submitted it will depend on the service approval authority. For Army it would be a few weeks. That’s if it’s actually been submitted from the meps GC.
