I plan on going the route of warrant and become a pilot in the DFW area, How long is Flight school? And can I still keep my full time job if I'm going away to complete it? I'm currently a Police Officer full time, Also how long does it take to complete your warrant officer packet? And does the guard pay for your lasik surgery?

Took me about 5 months to complete my packet. Army flight school varies but is usually around 2 years. And as far as i know, the guard does not pay for lasik.

Flight school is typically 12-18 months depending on bubbles and the like at Ft Rucker. The packet takes as long as you allow it to take. Mine took less than a month start to finish when I sat down and actually did it. All depends how quickly you want to get it done and get to flight school.

The hardest part for you is to find a few SWOs that willing to write you those LORs. Here are my tips. Have you packet ready, signed and printed, and in order how WOCS wants you to do, error free, basically everything except the SWO LOR. Go to your CAB/hangar and ask for a CW2. He will point you to the CW4/CW5 that work at the BN. You can even step your game up by showing up in dress blue on the day you have appt with the SWO. It was pretty easy for me because I’m a crewchief and work at the hangar everyday.
