Salutations,

I am a 25B Guardsman transitioning to the reserves and I have opted to reclassify as a 35L. I was accepted into a unit and I am currently awaiting separation orders from my home state. After making the transition how long before I need to attend school to reclass? Could anyone tell me how long the course is?

Look at the ATRRS Course Catalog. Some of the Reserve Component MOS courses are broken up into multiple phases.
How long till you go? You're considered MOS-Q right now and not a priority. I spent 2 years in the Guard without ever going to the school I joined for.

In that event did you do your current MOS-Q job for those 2 years? Does that negatively impact your progression?

I was sent to do my old job until I had a class date. I never received one and went back to the Active Duty after waiting

Job training for a Counterintelligence Agent requires 18 weeks at the Counterintelligence Special Agent Course, with additional on-the-job training. Advanced training is also available in areas such as Foreign CI Training, CI Collection, Technical Surveillance and Countermeasures, CI Cyber, and CI Debriefing.

I appreciate the response. Do you know if those advanced training are typically taken concurrently to the initial MOS school or can be taken at a later date? I am looking to prep my civilian job for how long I should anticipate being away for training.
