I'm submitting my complete packet for the Green to Gold Hip Pocket Scholarship into the online portal at the end of the week. Since it is a division award and Cadet Command are pretty much doing a final review, assuming that no waivers are required, how long should it take to hear back?

I only have read on here about Green to Gold, though I was Army ROTC at a unit that no longer exists, we trained a good deal with the West Point cadets, before I went USAF OTS instead, though I was utterly clueless as to what I was doing, or how to do it the right way, so it all went totally wrong, ultimately, which is why I'm total perm disabled ultimately now. That being said, purely for sake of conversation, and out of interest in career/educ topics, I'd be interested to know what major or majors you've looked at thus far...also, have you done your assocs yet, and, if so, in what...then, too, if you'd care to go into it, knowing your GPAs might help suggest various possibilities I know or, whether for now or later, that knowing about might be stuff you might eventually find useful, I'd be esp interested in knowing if you want a STEM field or not, I just like kibitzing about such aspects...further, have you looked at other svc programs at all, incl other svc ROTCs, or possibly doing the Bach on your own, then trying for an OCS...there are other things I could suggest and/or ask about, however, that was what initially crossed my mind to ask about, just, as I'd said, out of interest in such topics, honest, no rush, if you'd care to chat, as I'd said, I'd be most eager to hear more, whenever convenient....

A good deal of this is basically due to my having been there, done that (BTDT), obviously...also, I tend to pick up such trivia, my mind just tends to run that way, I guess....

Are you asking how long the process can take for them to approve or deny your scholarship? Generally those boards are around 90 days but It should have a projected deadline on it. I got an ROTC scholarship out of HS and I know for us there were rounds. I didn't get a scholarship in the first round...so those 90 days just sent me a sad letter. The next round I did so yeah! four year full ride!

Yes Mam.
The deadline to have my packet into the online portal is April 1st. And from my understanding, since the scholarship is coming from my unit and the board for the Hip Pocket Scholarship is also the responsibility of my unit, it should be a faster process, yes? The only thing Cadet Command would have left to do is review and put in waivers if necessary, which I don't need any.
I was just wondering if it would be realistic to know if my packet was approved prior to summer since I'm getting it in so early.

SPC(P) (Join to see) - With the military I generally add 30 days to what they tell you...and hope for the best.

SPC(P) (Join to see) - Although after a week or two it would not be impolite to send an email or call and ask when the projected date with the answer would be.
