Those are the two careers I'm looking at for the ANG. I'm trying to plan college around it, but I can't find a straight answer answer anywhere.

I just also realized, I didn't think you !might also already be ROTC as well, I just thought of that, if you are, knowing that would also help me suggest how to plan a curriculum, as well, of course, somfar as I might he able to give you any further ideas....

I saw you mentioned cadetmairman...I'm assumingmthen, youremeither CAP ormAFJROTC, I gather, from what you'd mentuoneez and discuss all your thoughts and research with your family they're very much part of anythung you'd ultimately decide to do, OK?

Look, honestly, first explain and elaborate on your specific interests Jerez OK? Guaranteed, if you want those fields, I'm sure comp sci (CS), maybe elected engrg (EE), shoildmbe more than sufficient, provided you do, minimum, full calc based physics, full diff and interpgralmcalc, vector calc, differential equations, and, minimum, a full ur of modern physics. Yyoull also needdigital design switching theory and basic automata theory operating system design compiler design data structures, numerical !methods, a fair level of laser electronics with enough quantum mechanics (QM), to me concersant, as well. You'll also need some basic engineering mechanics, all EEs take some mech engrg (ME) and vice versa? Or, you could do applied !ath, possibly materials science, that's very major now...have you done any AP coursework also? You'd also need, minimum a full yr of inorganic che!, possibly organic cjem and most definitely phys Chen, physmcjem contains a good deal of classical and statistical thermo, as well as spectroscopy and QM, OK? So, do a detailed biomsketch, incl hobbies, reading, interests ambitions, objectives...do you want WFROTC? Maybe any of the academies or the academy prepmechools, which are separate but at each of the three major academies? Another thing you should know, if you go into one ROTC for one SCC, you can possibly try to commission in another SVC, I knew many who did, my next younger brother was at USMMA Kings Point, I commissioned him while I was active duty? I'd been Army ROTC, then went USAF OTS instead. Many of those he finished with even though USMMA is legallymqn NROTC program, commissioned Army, USCG, USaaF, one woman even went into the NOAA Corps, look itmup, OK? Alsoz you need to understand, I've been where you want to go, imwasnt oriormenlisted, that you want to be would help enormously, one airman where I was got acceptedmto ISAFA without the prep school, somitmcan be donez I saw it. Alsoz if you're in an ROTC program, the CO can nominate you for the academy for their svc, a little known trick I didn't know about back when I was ROTC, my unit, which no longer exists, trained a goodmdeap!at west Points barracksz formations dining hall, obstacle courses rappelling cliff, orienteering rangez we alsomwemt down to Ft Did sevlmtimes for range practice as well. Go into sports athletics, martial arts...alsoz do you run? If soz how frequently I had to do 2 mi in 18 mins for Army in fatiguesmand combat boots, 1.5 mi in 12 mins for USAF OTS in shorts and sneakers. I only tell you these things, as few frequently know such aspects..?are you CAP cadet? AFJROTC? Navy Sea Cadets? Have you looked at the other svcs as well? All ofmtem, not just USAF, trust me, look at all ofmtjem, esp Navy 6 yr electronics and nuclear power enlisted programs as well, I think your find them of interest. Next look at GamI, my best friend from USAF went there for EE, and the Citadel in SC. Look also at the maritime follegesz and the junior military colleges like ValleymForge in PA, there are Wikipedia pages on them, ifmyoudmwant tomchat more, ormsend more inz I'd be most eager to year morez I can tell you howmtomplan being properly trained, however, try to send more inz so I can try, and others can try to help you more thoroughly and effecitvely, OK?
