too many variables.
Ive walked a FG through in 72 hours, I've seen a company grade take 90 days when the BC decided he was the approval authority on All UCMJ ...that lasted about....91 days

Not saying that you haven't but Trial Defense Services at your current duty station would be the best bet for any legal issue questions or procedures. You can call and make an appointment. All the advice you get on here will be from past experience (unless they are a JAG lawyer or Paralegal NCO). If I was your NCO, I would tell you to go there to get your answers straight from the horse's mouth.

SSG (Join to see) - It almost sounds as though Legal is going over the paperwork with a fine tooth comb to ensure everything is legally copacetic. If it is taking this long, then chances are (and I am purely guessing) that some papers may have been kicked back to be redone.

Have you spoken with your local JAG office concerning the issues?
While RallyPoint is a great resource, it is always best to have these type of things addressed by JAG first.

We give opinions.
We can give you things to consider and look into, not answers.
TDS (JAG) and your CDR gets you answers.

On my ships the Skipper would only conduct Captains Mast twice a month at sea or in foreign in ports. So it's when the CO gets around to it. Some will get dismissed at XO mast not many but some. At sea one must go the to Captain's Mast without recourse meaning the accused can not request a court marshal.

This is actually the perfect place to air out your dirty laundry. I had a guy asking about his article 15 for a month straight when the Company Commander wasn't going to do it...well that eventually pissed off the BN Cdr and he gave one instead. Ask and you shall receive.

Depending on command and how bad they want it done half a day with good clerks. Usually several days. But calling you in and you agree it doesn’t take long. But to gather facts and note them then get forms filled out a few days are involved

It depends. From the perspective of the Command's JAG, it depends on what the unit gives us - we might kick it back to get one little sworn statement, or the whole thing might need to be redone. Sometimes CSM wants to look at it and give his/her 2 cents. Depends on TDS availability - Article 15 intake days are not always every day, or even in the same country if you are deployed. Also depends on our office's workload. There is no specific regulatory provision mandating they be done in a certain amount of days as far as I know (AR 27-10).

I would love to know more. However it can take an hour or a week. Depending on the substance of the packet the proper paperwork, the amount of work the paralegals have at the time. The fastest was about 15 minutes, they had al the paper work and were ready to do night court so.

Depends on Legal Assistance and The JAG... and The Command... any or all can drag it out depending on the desired effect and Intentions...
