How many college classes can you take in one year while active duty?

A better question, how many classes can you manage in year with using just Tuition Assistance? I have 28 college credits so far and i'm working towards my associates. Just wanted to hear what some of your guy's experiences were with part time college.

Depends on your unit- in 82nd/Rgr- had very little time for college, unless it was online. XVIII ABC GQ, had more time but not a lot more. My rear det NCO was a 71L, and manage to finish his MA- but we never took him anywhere with us.

My first three years in the Army I was Home about four months total. I didn’t take any college classes until I re-enlisted for present duty assignment with one semester of college option. It depends on MOS and optempo of unit.

I am currently taking classes at AMU (American Military University) working toward my associates as well and I believe you are allowed to do 16 semester hours in a single physical year. Also, make sure you talk to a counselor about transferring military training into college credits, that gave me probably about half my college credits.
