I will be ETS from the army in July 2020 and I will have 95 days of leave if I don't take any between now and my ETS date. how far in advance can I put in for terminal leave on the DA31. I have never herd of anyone in my unit putting in that much leave so i asked S1 and they told me to put in the request and hope for the best

What they failed to tell you at S1 is that you will lose your Use or Lose days in October. In October, your leave in excess of 60 days will get reset back to 60, so what you'll really have is 77.5 days at your ETS.

SPC (Join to see) in that case, take all your leave. By regulatiin there's no limit to how much leave you can take

That won’t work, anything above 60 days will be gone comes 01 OCT! New FY so start crunching number and develop a new strategy!

With your SLA, the reality is that you can take as much as you want, but make sure your commanders will sign off on it. I know in previous units, anything over 60 days had to go to the Brigade Commander and he always wanted to know why people weren't taking leave for 3 years.
