I rode the Shovelhead with the Apehangers for a little over 10 years. It had a starter but it was easier to kick start it although my right knee would object. The chopper with the VW Bus in the background is for sale. Fast but not very comfortable. The Road King I just purchased a few weeks ago. It is my new TANK!! I love it.

Your chopper reminds me of the Night Train. I love how that bike looks and seriously thought about it when I bought my Fat Boy. But comfort and being able to take my wife on rides won out.

Ride, build, race, support the same with a small shop. Teach others weekly. I had 943 students last calendar year, should have almost double that this year. Basic and advanced training.
So thats a YES...lol

SGM Erik Marquez I have question for you. The 1998 Road King Electronic Fuel Injection is the first EFI bike I have ever owned. I know carbs and have done most of my own work on carb motorcycles. I love the EFI because it is fast. The problem is that at idle when hot it revs up and down at the stop light. Every where on the internet I read that MM EFI that Harley used during those years were junk but Ducati used them so I find that hard to believe. Any suggestions? I guess I should check for an intake leak first.

A: it was junk on the Ducs as well
b: other than good common basic troubleshooting , the diag is going to take a Dyno with AF reading.
Likely a Power Commander as well and someone who knows how to tune.
You can research the cost of the PC 3 or 5.
Install is going to be 1.5~3 hr
at local rate depending on that bike and I don't know it enough to hazard a guess. |
Custom mapping is going to be in the $300 range
But after doing any repair needed, then adding the Power Commander and a good map...you will be MAD you waited so long.

Nice. I have a spare motor for sale if you need one. Less than 20 miles on the rebuild. I also have a carb and all the electric oh yeah and pipes.
