Flag pole
Do you raise and lower the flag daily?

I've always wanted a real flag pole, and am looking for a cheap method to acquire one.

Is the flag welcomed in your neighborhood?

We had one on our last house for a couple of years. I never replaced it because of the continual winds here that destroy a flag inside of a month.

I don't have a flagpole since I moved into an apartment, but always had one at home, two actually. One for the American flag and one for the Army.

I live in Marine country and they were always flying theirs proudly. I saw no reason not to do the same. It led to a lot of good-natured kibbitzing (emphasis on "good-natured").

My neighbor to the right (a retired Master Gunnery Sergeant) said it was appropriate for his Marine flag to be to the right of my Army flag, but the neighbor to the left (a retired Marine Master sergeant) wasn't happy with the placement. I hope I don't have to explain that...
