Flag pole
Do you raise and lower the flag daily?

I've always wanted a real flag pole, and am looking for a cheap method to acquire one.

Is the flag welcomed in your neighborhood?

I do not have a flag pole in my front yard - HOA does not allow - however I have the American Flag on the house and led lights that I remotely change for Red, White and Blue plus I keep a Patriotic Display on my fence that is lit.

I have been trying to design something that will lower and raise the flag based off of a timer. I have the design down it is just coming up with the pulley system so the flag will not tangle being lowered and raised. I have also planned on lights and a speaker system to play retreat and revielle

I actually have a flagpole and fly our flag. It flys 24/7/365 as I have a bright solar light that shines upon it during the hours of darkness.

And I'm very fortunate to live in a very cultrurallu diverse of Los Angeles that welcomes the flying of our flag. On any given day you can walk through my neighborhood and not go farther than 50 meters without seeing a flag. There are even a few families that fly the flag of their respective services....

Three Marines on my block in my neighborhood have them. US colors then Marine flag. They leave'em up 365. I found the site and the price seems fairly cheap to me.

Currently rent a town house, so a pole is not an option, however the flag is flown on the porch full time.

I intend to fly one when I am established at our new home next month. It will not be a flag pole.

I don't have a flag pole for raising and lowering, but I have one that gets inserted into a pole holder mounted on my porch.

Well I'll tell you, if someone had an issue with my flagpole in MY yard representing OUR freedom, that would be too damn bad for them. Fly it proud brother!
