When I was young my family took us to Roadside America in Shartlesville, PA which was built back in 1935. I was impressed by the 8,000 square foot, fully landscaped display; over 300 miniature structures, with up to 18 trains, trollies and cable cars running throughout the display.
Did you ever visit Roadside America or any other large HO model train display?

Although I'd drove by it several times, I'd never visited it. Maybe one of these days.

I first visited Roadside America in the 1960's with my family probably on the way to Hawk Mountain. This November I will be visiting Roadside America on our way to Hawk Mountain with my youngest sister and her husband. I hope to get some ideas because one day I hope to build my own HO model train layout.

I also never heard of it. Maybe because I grew up on the West Coast.
