How many of you have service tattoos? And what are your thoughts on them?

I've got a few designs in mind, I just need to find a tattoo artist I trust that can draw exactly what I have in mind.

I'm probably going to do something similar. Find a picture of what I want, put it in Photoshop, put the wording that I want with the tat, and then work with the artist on a font that I like and maybe some artistic flair to the rest of the tat.

I have two artist I know well and they are beyond amazing. If you can make it to Camdenton Mo. its Cyborgs studios. I have know Jay since grade school I still have one from the late 80's early 90's that still looks crisp and unfaded. I have gotten several, I get complements often. just message if your interested in their contact or find him on face book Jay Borg, youll find pictures of his work. His lifelike are like a photo. he does a lot of military tats also.

Eh, road trips were always a good time. It's close to the calmer portion of Lake of the Ozarks. You could go fishing.

I've got three right now, all service related. I think for alot of people it is a big part of what shaped them into who they are and they are proud of it. Just another way to show it.

I never wanted one so I would be harder to notice in a crowd. Some of my fellow airmen got tattoos and recieved sevier infections, then some did'nt want them anymore and had to pay at great cost to remove them. It's a personal choice and you should read the regulations reguarding tattoos before getting one. And remember what looks great when you are young may not be so great later on in life. Ask some women.

Some friends and I went to a parlor in Germany and got the cross sabres put on our shoulder. It has been with me since 97 and I never regretted it.

They are a history of our life's experiences including unit we served with and what our beliefs are about...think they can be outstanding if done by a good artist...
