Never had tattoos when I severed in the Army, 1990-1998. Back then, they were actually discouraged as you should not have something identifiable on your body..

Someink I can accept, a Marine with a well done EGA or Jump wings for a Paratrooper on their Biceps. As long as it's well done and placed properly I don't have an issue.
Here is my problems Tats. I had 3 soldiers in Germany that went into town and got the same tattoo. Thier ink wasn't well done but worse all 3 ended up getting Hepititus. Granted that was in the early 1980s.
