How many of you, in the Houston Area, has heard of U.S. Family Health Plan (USFHP) which is apart of TRICARE Prime?

I have had USFHP for many years in the Houston area. (Galveston County) It has been great for me. You have to pay an annual, bi-annual, quarterly, or monthly fee, but it is a lot cheaper than work/civilian insurance. I get to pick my Doctors, and there are several places that take it. Now that I am on Medicare, I have USFHP for life, and they cover whatever Medicare doesn't cover. Get to keep everything the same in the transition.

Have heard of TRICARE in passing (someone even suggested I apply for ChampV, or is that VChamp, spousal healthcare) but never found interest, given that I have had great healthcare ever since I learned (2000) I was eligible for V.A. healthcare.
