How many of you that were overseas for an extended period and have retired or separated miss the travel opportunities?

I know that while I was stationed in Germany for 7 years I was traveling nearly every weekend and now that I'm retired and living Stateside, I really miss all the travel, who else feels the same?

Enjoyed seeing Hong Kong and Japan. Since I got out, oh so many years ago, I have done Europe a couple times, Mexico and Tahiti. Stateside I am closing in on visiting all 50 states. Only have 14 to go.
Love flying but hate airlines. Driving gets old after a few hundred miles. Cruises may be the answer.

Absolutely miss it! I was never stationed overseas, I only completed deployments. However, my wife was stationed in Italy during her time in the Navy and she misses the travel as well. Both of us would love to find employment abroad.
Aside from that, we have plans to travel on our own dime. We spent couple weeks in Scotland several years back and we are planning for couple weeks in Okinawa and mainland Japan in couple years. For now we venture for week at a time couple times a year throughout the US to satisfy our travel bug.
