How many people could actually do this?

I leave my phone on the charger when I leave the house on the weekends. Unless I'm camping, then I turn it off and pack it in the far corners of my pack to be used for emergencies only.

I try to minimize phone use during weekends. My job is social media/web though, so my ability to disconnect is necessarily limited.

Deploy for a couple of years with only an Iridium for communication....
