I'd like to get a great count of all those RP Members who is attending, so if we connect up there we can say "Hi"!
How many RP Members will be trailoring their bikes and how many will be riding?
I'll be riding from California and my round trip will take (9) days and over 3,800 miles.
Here is my newest retirement toy Harley Davison 2015 CVO Road Glide Ultra and picture of what I look like today - not as young looking as the RP picture LOL! It is what it is!
When you respond send a picture of your bike as well. By the way it doesn't need to be a Harley, but you will get extra RP points if it is - just kidding.

I don't really know what we're doing, I just know I'm headed out there again. And launch, recover, launch. Then fix the broke crap the pilots bring back.

I'd love to attend Sturgis just once for the experience. I'll be starting Paramedic school in August and my oldest son (now a SGT in the Army) will be getting married around the first of September. That has all my extra savings tied up for this year.
No man is promised tomorrow. Maybe the Commanding General on High will see fit to allow me to attend before I make the final PCS to Eternity.

Thank you, sir. This is my '05 Shadow Spirit. It isn't the Heritage Softail of my dreams but it's got two wheels and a motor so I'll ride as long as I can!

My uncles ashes were spread there this year! His brothers who are also vets all rode out there. The year before they all met up from NY to TX! Certainly a bucket list item to go down the road (probably when I give up the sport bikes!)

CPT (Join to see) That is a awesome story - thanks for sharing. It's great to ride cross country. Keep it on your "bucket list"!

That is on my Bucket List! Especially since I have heard/read sportbikes are better received than well in the past. My friends and I almost always get down to Bike Week in Daytona Beach!
I think I would definitely want to ride to Sturgis with its heritage and all of that! That is going to take me getting a Harley or something that's more suited to travel on I really want a Street Glide but might consider the Honda version as there are family discounts available on those!
Nice Ultra by the way!!

I'll be headed up from Texas. Can't wait. I have attended the last couple years. This year I convinced a friend to come along. Should be a great time.

Great looking bike SMSgt James Williams. It looks a lot like my CVO Road Glide Ultra.

I will as well as one other retired friend. We are meeting in Columbia, TN to lay some flowers and a bit of rum at the gravesite of John H. Willis, a fellow Corpsman and CMH recipient. For me it's a hair over 4,000 miles round trip from Eastern NC. It's well worth the trip. Suck, Bang, Blow has a nice deal going on between 5-6 every afternoon on draft beer. I'll post up there for a couple of days then in between riding the Needles Highway, and looking at Mount Rushmore. Hope to see you there.

Thanks COL Mikel J. Burroughs. The Sporty may go away this year. My Wife is quite pleased with her Streetglide and has only ridden the Sportster a few times in the last 5 years. My oldest Son has been on it the last few years but he needs something bigger. We'll see. Thanks for looking!
