SSG Lassiters though I'm not really a computer guy myself my MOS does require me to deal with computer systems on a routine basis. I have thought about get some sort of technical certification in these areas.

SGT McMullan a lot of these certs can be earned easily and paid for by the GOVT so I would take advantage of them if you have the opportunity to. and if you work with computers or net work in you job they can be useful but they also give you a better understanding of you personal networks that you are using in you home

SSG Kevin Lassiter, both of these certs are great to have not only in the military but outside of the military as well. Currently, I am an IT major and these certs will count for seven of my Bachelors level courses. Another great cert is the CISSP. The 25B series really gets the hookup on getting certified though. I know a lot of guys in that MOS and they really get trained for their certs!

I have my technical certification within my M.O.S. SFC (Join to see). I also was able to implement the testing for the certification into A.I.T. Program of Instruction (POI) so that students have an opportunity to obtain the certification before graduation.

I implemented the program as it was part of President Obama's initiative as a preemptive measure for the downsizing.

I was also able to do it at no cost to the Government. I utilized inter-government agencies to make it happen.

I was able to make a change within my Occupational Specialty.
