Good Grief kid, you will take an AFPT normally at least 2 x per year as long as you are in, and in some units, a hell of a lot more than that.

Wow... yes. Basic, AIT, and then for the rest of your career whenever they feel like doing a record APFT.

At a minimum of once a year, but more often like once every 6 months........and that is just for record. There are also diagnostic APFTs........which could happen almost whenever

The good news is that you don't have to take them after you get out.

Throughout your career, you will be taking the physical fitness test. It does not stop at AIT.

Guess that depends on how long you'd like to serve? What you doing on social media while in basic training anyway? Pretty sure it's not allowed but ask your Drill Sergeants. They'll square you away!!!

Be ready to do PT and take the APFT the rest of your career. This is the U.S. Army, we fight wars and need to maintain ourselves physically to accomplish our mission.

Not exactly accurate. Once you hit 60 you still could serve without taking the APFT.
