Was stationed to the 160th SIG BDE, SWACC straight out of AIT as an IMO. PCS over there, wasn't deployed with a unit or anything. Lot of stuff has changed over in AJ from what I heard being there.

When I came back from Desert Storm (8 month deployment) I was back 90 days before my PCS to Korea. Granted after I was in Korea for about 3 1/2 months the Army said oops you shouldn't be here we can send you home. I stayed because I figured if I went back home I'd end up back in Korea in six or eight months, just as well get it over with.

Random googling says 6 months for a 12 month dependent restricted duty station but that might have been updated. Some of the links I tried were restricted to Army accounts and I didn't have a CAC reader with me.

I've read that too, but I am looking through my orders to see if there's anything special listed as Camp Arifjan at the time wasn't considered a "hardship tour" because of dependent restriction, and was only a deployment zone for units. Thanks
