BAS is a constant; it does not change for different ranks, location, or size of family.

1. BAS is the same everywhere- cause it's Basic Allowance Subsistence- food, in other words. If you are talking BAH (Basic Allowance Housing) , that varies from Post to Post. You can check it online or with a phone call to the in processing center at Ft. Irwin. The confusion may be the difference between Quarter on Post and Quarters on the economy. You will get paid the same- but the economy may cost more than the on Post Housing.
