I loved doing plyometrics in high school while running track. That was a long time ago. These days I like Crossfit type workouts with mobililty work.

I will be 48 this May and have been retired for a full year after 25 years of service (Airborne Army Medic). I never really even knew what plyometric exercises were until I first did P90X about 8 year ago. Damn, that's exhausting. I fully embraced plyometric moves about 4 years ago when I was introduced to Insanity by a few of my Soldiers. I now include plyometric exercises into my workout at least 3 times a week.

How often do you incorporate plyometric exercises into your workout - EXCLUDING military PT sessions?

I was also introduced to plyo through P90X . I do the PlyoX routine two to three times a week. About 12 years ago my triglycerides got out of wack because I wasn't sleeping and exercising enough. So I fixed both bad habits and my numbers cleared up. Now I'm 51 and feel great.

When I go to the gym, I will use the One Armed Throw and the Overhead Throw with a light medicine ball to help loosen up after a work out.
