I love Fort Campbell, honestly. 101st is pretty great. On post is organized and convienent to find just about anything. My advice for housing is to stay away from Providence and Riverside. Lots of crime that way. Cheap housing but it’s very bad around there at night and on the weekends. Tiny Town Road and the off shoots of it housing developments are very nice and fairly reasonable.

I just moved here last year. Nashville is less than an hour away and there are lots of places to visit and things to do there. You've also got the Kentucky Bourbon Trail to the north and some other big cities are just a few hours drive from here.
Many military families that live in Clarksville live in the neighborhoods that offshoot from Tiny Town Rd. A few live in Hopkinsville, KY which is also nice. I also know of some NCOs that bought a couple of acres of land outside of the city limits. Clarksville has a fair amount of traffic... not like gridlock traffic but enough to where you'll have to leave 10 minutes earlier IOT get to post 10 minutes early. As far as the schools go they're all pretty good. Sango is on the south side of Clarksville and is a really nice area... the downsides are the longer commute to work and the higher price of housing. If your child(ren) has special needs, call the EFMP office at Ft. Campbell or connect with them via Facebook and they can give you some great advice. I will say the DOEA schools on Ft. Campbell are rated better than Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools but you have to live on post to attend. You might not get as much square footage on-post as opposed to renting or purchasing off-post.
All in all, this is a great area to live in the people here are great and as LTC Mackay said the city is really dialed into the post; it's a true partnership.
