How soon can you receive a pcs assignment to overseas after 12 month deployment?

I've been wanting to find the answers but nobody seems to know about this type of situation. How soon can you receive a new PCS assignment after a 12 month deployment if the dwell time is waived? How long does it take to pcs from conus to oconus? and I would have about 14 months left before I ETS.

That's too vague, you can receive an assignment any time, even in the middle of your deployment. There's just too many variables to make wild guesses, you're better off telling us what you're situation is and what you want.

Thank you SFC for replying. I did receive an assignment during my deployment but everybody said that I cannot get an assignment in the middle of my deployment. I was supposed to leave early to make it to my report date (which was after 12 month deployment) but then I was told that I need orders to go back to the states. Since they won't cut my orders because of my deployment code, I couldn't go back to the states and eventually, my assignment got deleted. Then I was told that the only way I could pcs was to either extend or reenlist.

SPC (Join to see) if people who told you that you couldn't be placed on assignment and you were, then they are not a reliable source of information. Since you're going to be anonymous no one can look you up, and since you don't understand the terms you're talking about its hard to know what you're exactly getting at. So, what exactly is your question?

My question is Would I still be able to PCS to overseas without extension or reenlistment? after 12 month deployment with 14 months remaining until I ETS?

SPC (Join to see) you must have 12 months remaining on your contract from your report date to CONUS from an OCONUS assignment. If you don't have the time you'll have to extend or reenlist for it. If you're not on assignment you'll have to request one through your Career Counselor and reenlist for it. Otherwise, your DEROS will be pushed to two days prior your ETS and you'll ETS from your current location

Unless you get orders to Korea (and even that is HIGHLY unlikely), you will not receive orders to PCS to an overseas assignment with only 14 months left in the Army. Even if you were put on orders for an overseas assignment with that little time left, you would be told that you'd have to extend or reenlist to meet the assignment obligation.

If you have 14 months until you ETS, you are not eligible to be assigned overseas.
