Plants
2 and 3.5 billion years ago,
over 410 million years ago, plants move onto land. This was possible because an ozone layer blocked the sun UV rays and the ozone was due to oxygen made by green bacteria plants in the ocean.
400 million years ago, plant roots developed. Soil covers 40 percent of the land. It takes 1,000 years to make 2 cc of soil. At least 400 million years ago horseshoe crabs appeared on land.
230 million year ago dinosaurs, and of the 700 species discovered, 2/3rd were herbivores
