I was doing field rotation that had open showers and had a thought about Transgender personell and how the be treated by other personell. I talked to a female an she said she upset if transwomen in her shower if they still had there male genitals. I asked a male the same thing and he said he wouldn't care. He said "If they identify as a man I will treat them like a man". How would you personally feel about this.

ADMIN NOTE: Be respectful to other RP members who may be in the transgender community.

Let's be honest here, if the majority of transitions were female to male and transmales with female anatomy were using male showers fewer people would care. The trigger point here is transfemales with male anatomy showering with our daughters and wives is what causes the biggest issues.

How is that. By the Time they are allowed to switch their gender markers and fall under military guidelines for their gender there is nothing there and if there is its shrunk and useless.

The military has a very military solution. My summary:
1. Everyone is the gender that's in their Deers record and there are only 2 choices.
2. Treat everyone with respect.

My assumption is in situations like this a little coordination from leadership would go a long way. Having a trans troop is probably reason enough to get at least individual showers with curtains.

I see this as just one more technique to confuse and demoralize all service members.

The Army will transition by lowering the standards. The Canadian military, for example, allows you to have tattoos on your face, unusual colored hair, and you can even cross dress. All trying to cater because nobody wants to join the military. Commanders do still have the option of raising the standards but I wouldn't be surprised that the US military will end up being like William Shatner's weird or what? The US military is supposed to focus on duty, honor, and Country and not on trying to be a trendy and Catering to one half of 1% of the population. Look how the US Military has stupid Madison Avenue types trying to push recruiting and the recruiting is going into the toilet because they don't want to know about a lesbian Army soldier with two lesbian mothers. They don't want to know about a Navy drag queen RuPaul who looks normal on duty but then dresses up like a female off duty so why would they have someone dress up and drag to try to recruit new recruits? It's kind of like taking two steps forward and 200 steps back trying to cater to a small segment of the population instead of trying to focus on the majority of the straight, middle of the road young person without trying to attract weirdos that look more like Marilyn Manson or rupaul?

What a shame we focus on transgenderism etc., instead of readiness to fight a war!

The theory hasn't been tested yet in combat operations, it will be and of course uncomfortable realities will be hidden, glowing false positive narratives for validation will be publicized...failures will be hidden. This is a social experiment brought to us by Joe Biden and Obama in the last three years. Instantly on command many espouse the virtues of this inclusiveness of the mentally ill to appease their masters and get that next promotion.

Communal Showers happen in some Colleges. CoEd showers in the military?? Depends on the persons affected. Post to post varying handling of the situation, as well as Command Suggestions on such.
If you went into the Service thinking you'll be catered to,... you might be an idiot.

To be frank, those who “transition” are suffering from a significant mental health disorder, no matter how the APA wants to reframe it to serve ideological agendas. There’s usually other mental health issues that spurned it on (or indoctrination but that’s a discussion for another day), all of which should be addressed and treated as such and enabled; schizophrenics don’t get these kinds of mental health waivers or encouragement. Retain them for proper treatment or separate them from service. Period. It’s asinine that this should even need to be discussed

If our Armed Forces accept Transgender, they should also accept TransRank!
I sell identify as the Supreme Ruler over all The United States! I wonder how senior NCOs and Officers would respond to that idea!

It's shocking as the United State ages, it loses its ability to reason!

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff why do you consider that?

Real gender is fully supported by scientific fact! While transgender is delusional, totally unsupported by sound science. It is merely something that a minute and uneducated people choose to place on themselves.

Rank, in a similar fashion is something that people assign without any scientific facts supporting the assignment.

To both of these things, there is no supporting physical or biological evidence that supports the assignment in any way whatsoever!

If you truly listened to yourself, what I said before could only qualify as the second most idiotic thing that you have ever heard, at best!

That's the problem with people not listening to their own foolish utterances!

I remember hearing a story many, MANY years ago, when men were men and women were women. It went like this: If a women, by mistake, inadvertently, walked into a shower filled with men, she'd be embarrassed. If a man inadvertently walked into a shower filled with women, he'd be excited.

Back when I was in Korea, long, long ago, we spent weeks at CEV gunnery (in a place with no showers or running water...in winter) and then rolled from there to rejoin the rest of our unit down at MPRC who'd headed out later for another field problem. When we got there, they said, "Hey, there's showers down here!"
As I was heading down to the shower house for the first shower I'd had in weeks, my buddy who was with the other CEV crew saw me coming with my hands full, and helpfully grabbed the door for me--"In here, man!" "Thanks!" "No problem!" The steam was so thick you couldn't see 4 feet ahead of you. I made my way to a bench to sit my crap down, then headed toward the sound of running water, found an unused spot (open showers) and started hosing off weeks of grime.

God, it felt great. Hot water in the middle of freezing February; the ROK barracks we'd been in hadn't even had heat, just space heaters that turned off every 30 minutes (to prevent "Fan Death", sigh.)

As I'm turning around to hose off my back, the steam roiling around us, a brief opening appears and out of the corner of my eye I catch a glimpse of the soldier next to me. 'Those are some nice tits!" my brain said.

Then as the rest of my brain slowly processed the implication, the horror set in...

Needless to say I finished up, toweled off, and darted the hell out of there as quick as I could, making sure no one saw me leaving out that door! Arrived back at my tank to gales of laughter from both crews. In hindsight, the Cheshire Cat smile he gave me as he held the door, and the chuckle I heard behind me as I went in, should have tipped me off...Bastard!
